Join our host, Sandro Mosele, as we take a vigneron’s deep dive into these truly special wines; the Superstars of southern France.
Sandro’s knowledge and passion are legendary, having excelled in key winemaking roles at Kooyong, Port Phillip Estate and Ten Minutes X Tractor. He now shares his love of fine wines at Euan Mckay Wine Merchant, one of Australia’s leading European importers.
Sandro will take us through a series of older vintages, as well as an exclusive showing of the powerful & ripe 2019s, from each producer (soon-to-be released). And kicking things off will be a couple of brilliant, mature-aged white Châteauneuf-du-Papes, to illustrate the full diversity of this stunning Mediterranean appellation.
Key Producers:
Domaine Roger Sabon – long regarded as a reference point for this magnificent appellation, a great source of traditional wines, where the expression of fruit and terroir is everything and oak is treated with caution. Sabon makes wines of concentration, flesh and finesse.
Domaine de la Mordorée – modern styled Rhône’s, in the best sense of the phrase, combining brilliant low-yielding vineyards with the influence of both concrete tanks and newer French oak.
Domaine Des Richards – renowned, traditional producers and famous for their incredible Muscat Beaumes de Venise
