The estate itself has existed since 1895. Matthieu Chambeyron has taken this sleeping estate from his father and started making some superb wines. Until 2010 the wines were labelled under Bernand Chambeyron. Then changed to him. He started making the wine in 2007. With only 5 Hectares of which 2.5 in Cote Rotie they only make 20,000 bottles per year. In 1981, The family acquired a piece of the stalwart “La Chavaroche” in the Côte Brune. His fortune continued with “Lancement,” technically part of the Côte Blonde, but when you look at a vineyard map, it is snug to the Côte Brune. The singularity of Chambeyron’s Lancement parcel is genuine old-vines, planted in 1967 by his uncle Marius.” – Importer’s notes
