Le Pont Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021

The 2021 Le Pont Barossa Valley Shiraz was made from the acclaimed winemaking team behind Yelland & Papps – Susan and Michael Papps.

Our Shiraz provides a true representation of the Barossa, with fruit coming from the Vine Vale, Stonewell and Marananga sub-regions. 2021 was a relatively cooler and longer growing season which allowed for optimal ripeness to be achieved whilst retaining superb levels of natural acid.

Basket-pressed and spending 10 months in neutral oak, our wine benefited from natural fermentation, with no additions (other thay a small amount of sulphur), fining or filtration throughout the winemaking process. Weighing in at 13.7% alcohol this is a shiraz of elegance and finesse rather than overwhelming power.

Perfect to drink now, it has at least 5 years of development ahead should you wish to hold on to a few.
