The 2022 Moulin-A-Vent Au Michelon comes from a single plot of vines up to a century old, planted on sandy soils and raised in one foudre plus demi-muids. It has a beautifully defined bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit and a noticeable marine/briny element that lends this personality. The palate presents fine grip, firm on the entry, with darker fruit than the 2021. That salinity drives home the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle.

- An easy candidate for the cellar
- 'The Clos Prieur is a well situated vineyard just below the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin and is well known for its accessibility and easy going wines. Although the vineyard comprises a village and premier cru section (on the upper slope), the latter definitely displays much greater depth of fruit than the lower section and is worthy of premier cru status. This vineyard compliments Thierry’s winemaking to a tee.'
