Stonegarden Masterclass
The Stonegarden vineyard in the Barossa’s Eden Valley is the stuff of South Australian legend. Originally planted in the late 1850s, it’s a treasure trove of remarkable old vines and an eclectic mix of varietals—the undisputed hero being its 160+ year-old Grenache. While it may not be as well-known as some of the region’s more iconic vineyards, that’s only because its fruit has long been allocated to the Barossa’s top wineries, never bottled under its own label… until now.
Purchased in 2015 by former oil and gas engineer Glen Monaghan—who wisely partnered with ex-Rockford chief winemaker Ben Radford, a longtime fan of the vineyard’s fruit—the two set about giving Stonegarden its own identity. Since then, they’ve been hard at work crafting a range of wines under the Stonegarden label that capture the essence of this remarkable site.
Join us and winemaker Ben Radford for a ‘virtual tour’ of the vineyard through a tasting of the current range, and discover what makes this place so special.
We hope you can join us!
