In stock

  • Seductive, refined McLaren Vale Shiraz

Royal Oaks and King’s Wood were forests planted by monarchs to build cathedrals and navies. Long term planning. The beautiful old French oak in these giant foudre vessels is perfect for schooling and gently, gradually polishing and protecting the brightest, spiciest Shiraz we grow on Yangarra.

Gary Walsh

“Back in the day, there was a show called Kingswood Country, where casual racism, sexism and certain sorts of humour were pretty much common place. The main protagonist, Ted Bulpitt, owned a couple of greyhounds. Their names were ‘Gay Akubra’ and ‘Repco Lad’. The things you remember…

Spicy, curry leaf and black fruits, coffee and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, again quite savoury and spicy, a little ferrous, fresh blackberry and tobacco, slightly too brisk lemony acidity, though does have energy, and a firm finish of olive leaf and black fruit.” – Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

Stuart Knox

“Remarkable poise for such a young wine, dark fruits, blood and ironstone all meld seamlessly.” – The Real Review, Stuart Knox
