Shaw + Smith & MMAD Tasting – South Melbourne

One of Australia’s icon wineries, Shaw + Smith, have just released their new single vineyard Shiraz & Chardonnay, so we thought we’d open them to give you a taste!
To add to that, their side project MMAD has recently released their 2022 Grenache & Chenin Blanc; they’ll be on tasting as well.

This will be quite a remarkable bracket of wines, with the two Shaw + Smith cuvees representing the pinnacle of Adelaide Hills Shiraz and Chardonnay. The MMAD wines, though only a relatively new label, have burst onto the scene with aplomb and subsequently backed it up with this: their 22s are the strongest outing of the wines yet, the red landing among the top tier of McLaren Vale Grenache, and the Chenin Blanc arguably the country’s best rendition of the variety.
