In Cornas, Thierry Allemand has gone from outsider to icon. A former electrician who taught himself viticulture, he painstakingly restored abandoned terraces in the 1980s, working them by hand when few believed in the appellation’s potential, nor could be bothered to commit to the back-breaking work required! Today he is seen as one of the Rhône’s greatest vignerons, crafting Syrah that balances Cornas’ traditional power with striking finesse. Reynard comes from old vines (60–90 years) on granite soils at the heart of Cornas. Farmed organically and harvested by hand, the fruit is fermented with whole clusters, native yeasts and gentle extraction, before ageing in old barrels. The 2021 is vivid and profound: dark blackberry and cassis mingle with smoked meat, olive tapenade, violets and a savoury mineral edge. The palate is dense yet graceful, with muscular tannins wrapped in haunting perfume. This is Cornas at its most soulful — a wine of depth, authenticity and long life. Cellar for 20–30 years, or decant well in advance to glimpse its complexity now.

There is no minimum order, you can order a single bottle or a mixed case.
Le Pont Wine Stores supports the responsible service of alcohol. Under Australian law, it is illegal for anyone under the age of eighteen to either order or receive alcohol. We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and, depending on your location, use the services of Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. For delivery to most Australian cities, please allow five working days and seven for rural and regional areas.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to hold your order until such time as the weather is favourable to transport it. We will contact you by telephone to arrange an alternative delivery time.
We offer free delivery for all orders over $250.
For orders under $250, delivery charges will apply for each singular carton, (ie; 18 bottles will equal 2 cartons – 1 carton of 6 and another of 12). This charge (if applicable) will be applied at the time of checkout.
“I’ve ordered the wrong item”
If you have ordered the wrong item, please contact us to arrange a return. Return shipping for ordering the incorrect item will be at the expense of the customer. Le Pont Wine Stores will issue a full refund for the goods within 30 days.
“I’ve received the incorrect item”
If your order has been packed incorrectly by Le Pont Wine Stores and you receive the incorrect product in your shipment, please notify Le Pont Wine Stores strictly within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Le Pont Wine Stores will request that you return the incorrect items in the original carton. On receipt of the intact returned goods, and within 30 days, Le Pont Wine Stores will refund to you the amount for the incorrect item/s, plus the return shipping costs.
