Food Pair: Lamb backstrap
A tiny artisanal domaine in Ampuis, Roche Paradis farms the steep schist and granite terraces that define Côte-Rôtie, all worked painstakingly by hand. The estate is young compared to its famous neighbours, but its reputation has grown quickly thanks to a commitment to minimal intervention and traditional methods. Parcels are often whole-bunch fermented to highlight perfume and texture, then aged in a mix of large and neutral oak to avoid overwhelming the fruit. The wine captures the dual nature of Côte-Rôtie: lifted aromas of violets, raspberry and black cherry from the Côte Blonde, with darker spice, smoke and savoury grip echoing the Côte Brune. Fine tannins and mineral freshness frame the finish, giving both elegance and depth.
Le Pont Wine Stores will only ship orders to a valid address within Australia.
There is no minimum order, you can order a single bottle or a mixed case.
Le Pont Wine Stores supports the responsible service of alcohol. Under Australian law, it is illegal for anyone under the age of eighteen to either order or receive alcohol. We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and, depending on your location, use the services of Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. For delivery to most Australian cities, please allow five working days and seven for rural and regional areas.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to hold your order until such time as the weather is favourable to transport it. We will contact you by telephone to arrange an alternative delivery time.
We offer free delivery for all orders over $250.
For orders under $250, delivery charges will apply for each singular carton, (ie; 18 bottles will equal 2 cartons – 1 carton of 6 and another of 12). This charge (if applicable) will be applied at the time of checkout.
“I’ve ordered the wrong item”
If you have ordered the wrong item, please contact us to arrange a return. Return shipping for ordering the incorrect item will be at the expense of the customer. Le Pont Wine Stores will issue a full refund for the goods within 30 days.
“I’ve received the incorrect item”
If your order has been packed incorrectly by Le Pont Wine Stores and you receive the incorrect product in your shipment, please notify Le Pont Wine Stores strictly within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Le Pont Wine Stores will request that you return the incorrect items in the original carton. On receipt of the intact returned goods, and within 30 days, Le Pont Wine Stores will refund to you the amount for the incorrect item/s, plus the return shipping costs.
