Food Pair: Spaghetti Marinara
Lamy makes two white cuvées from this beautiful southeast-facing plot, which sits behind the village cemetery. There are two distinct plots of Chardonnay both planted on the steeper, rockier soils (some Pinot is also planted on the clay-rich soils). At the top of the vineyard is the legendary Haute Densité parcel (Lamy’s first HD site, planted at a staggering 30,000 vines per hectare—see more below). The vines that produce this wine were planted between 1985 and 2001, at a density of 14,000 vines per hectare. The soils are powerful white marl (chalky clay), and the wine that results is always deep and structured with texture and remarkable extract. The 2023 has the depth, layers and power of a Grand Cru. It is a fabulous-value wine in the context of Burgundy prices today. It’s generous and layered, then, boom: the rocky, minerality kick in, leaving the palate vibrating with saline, powdery energy. Le Pont Wine Stores supports the responsible service of alcohol. Under Australian law, it is illegal for anyone under the age of eighteen to either order or receive alcohol. We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and, depending on your location, use the services of Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. For delivery to most Australian cities, please allow five working days and seven for rural and regional areas.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to hold your order until such time as the weather is favourable to transport it. We will contact you by telephone to arrange an alternative delivery time.
We offer free delivery for all orders over $250.
For orders under $250, delivery charges will apply for each singular carton, (ie; 18 bottles will equal 2 cartons – 1 carton of 6 and another of 12). This charge (if applicable) will be applied at the time of checkout.
“I’ve ordered the wrong item”
If you have ordered the wrong item, please contact us to arrange a return. Return shipping for ordering the incorrect item will be at the expense of the customer. Le Pont Wine Stores will issue a full refund for the goods within 30 days.
“I’ve received the incorrect item”
If your order has been packed incorrectly by Le Pont Wine Stores and you receive the incorrect product in your shipment, please notify Le Pont Wine Stores strictly within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Le Pont Wine Stores will request that you return the incorrect items in the original carton. On receipt of the intact returned goods, and within 30 days, Le Pont Wine Stores will refund to you the amount for the incorrect item/s, plus the return shipping costs.
