  • Ca’ del Merlo is often considered the Quintarelli estate’s bridge between Valpolicella and Amarone, produced with the same meticulous care but with slightly less concentration. The wine is made from traditional Valpolicella varieties, fermented slowly and aged for many years in large Slavonian oak casks. The 2016 vintage is a superb rendition: red plum, dried herbs, spice and gentle tobacco notes, with supple tannins and savoury complexity. Extended aging brings remarkable harmony and subtle tertiary character while maintaining freshness. Elegant rather than powerful, it reflects the house’s patient approach and deep respect for tradition.

    There is no minimum order, you can order a single bottle or a mixed case.

    Delivery

    Le Pont Wine Stores supports the responsible service of alcohol. Under Australian law, it is illegal for anyone under the age of eighteen to either order or receive alcohol. We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and, depending on your location, use the services of Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. For delivery to most Australian cities, please allow five working days and seven for rural and regional areas.

    In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to hold your order until such time as the weather is favourable to transport it. We will contact you by telephone to arrange an alternative delivery time.

    We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $250. For orders under $250, shipping costs are calculated based on your location: a flat rate of $15 applies to deliveries within New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory, while a flat rate of $25 applies to Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia and South Australia. Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

    “I’ve ordered the wrong item”
    If you have ordered the wrong item, please contact us to arrange a return. Return shipping for ordering the incorrect item will be at the expense of the customer. Le Pont Wine Stores will issue a full refund for the goods within 30 days.

    “I’ve received the incorrect item”
    If your order has been packed incorrectly by Le Pont Wine Stores and you receive the incorrect product in your shipment, please notify Le Pont Wine Stores strictly within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Le Pont Wine Stores will request that you return the incorrect items in the original carton. On receipt of the intact returned goods, and within 30 days, Le Pont Wine Stores will refund to you the amount for the incorrect item/s, plus the return shipping costs.
