Founded in 1981 on the Tuscan coast at Bolgheri, Ornellaia quickly became an icon of the Super Tuscan movement. Its maritime vineyards, cooled by sea breezes and rooted in alluvial and marine soils, bring both ripeness and elegance to Bordeaux varieties. The 2021 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot is powerful yet poised. Aromas of blackberry, cassis and plum are layered with Mediterranean herbs, graphite and subtle spice. Full-bodied and richly textured, the palate balances generous fruit with refined tannins and a savoury mineral edge. The finish is long, elegant and persistent, confirming its cellar-worthy status. While approachable young, it will evolve over two decades.

There is no minimum order, you can order a single bottle or a mixed case.
Le Pont Wine Stores supports the responsible service of alcohol. Under Australian law, it is illegal for anyone under the age of eighteen to either order or receive alcohol. We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and, depending on your location, use the services of Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. For delivery to most Australian cities, please allow five working days and seven for rural and regional areas.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to hold your order until such time as the weather is favourable to transport it. We will contact you by telephone to arrange an alternative delivery time.
We offer free delivery for all orders over $250.
For orders under $250, delivery charges will apply for each singular carton, (ie; 18 bottles will equal 2 cartons – 1 carton of 6 and another of 12). This charge (if applicable) will be applied at the time of checkout.
“I’ve ordered the wrong item”
If you have ordered the wrong item, please contact us to arrange a return. Return shipping for ordering the incorrect item will be at the expense of the customer. Le Pont Wine Stores will issue a full refund for the goods within 30 days.
“I’ve received the incorrect item”
If your order has been packed incorrectly by Le Pont Wine Stores and you receive the incorrect product in your shipment, please notify Le Pont Wine Stores strictly within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Le Pont Wine Stores will request that you return the incorrect items in the original carton. On receipt of the intact returned goods, and within 30 days, Le Pont Wine Stores will refund to you the amount for the incorrect item/s, plus the return shipping costs.
