A lovely Meursault from one of Burgundy’s most revered domaine’s, ‘Clos de la Barre’ is a monopole vineyard situated directly behind the Lafon home in the heart of the village. Planted predominantly to old vines on classic limestone and clay soils, this cuvée captures both the richness and tension that define great Meursault.
The 2017 vintage is typical of whites from this vintage meaning it’s ready to go. It offers remarkable balance—ripe yet energetic—with aromas of white peach, citrus oil, hazelnut and subtle reduction. The palate is layered and precise, combining Meursault’s hallmark generosity with a finely tuned mineral spine. Thoughtful élevage in high-quality oak (with restrained new oak influence) brings texture without overshadowing site expression.
A wine of immediate appeal but will continue to drink well - very well - for the next 5-7 years.

There is no minimum order, you can order a single bottle or a mixed case.

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and, depending on your location, use the services of Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. For delivery to most Australian cities, please allow five working days and seven for rural and regional areas.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to hold your order until such time as the weather is favourable to transport it. We will contact you by telephone to arrange an alternative delivery time.
We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $250. For orders under $250, shipping costs are calculated based on your location: a flat rate of $15 applies to deliveries within New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory, while a flat rate of $25 applies to Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia and South Australia. Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
“I’ve ordered the wrong item”
If you have ordered the wrong item, please contact us to arrange a return. Return shipping for ordering the incorrect item will be at the expense of the customer. Le Pont Wine Stores will issue a full refund for the goods within 30 days.
“I’ve received the incorrect item”
If your order has been packed incorrectly by Le Pont Wine Stores and you receive the incorrect product in your shipment, please notify Le Pont Wine Stores strictly within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. Le Pont Wine Stores will request that you return the incorrect items in the original carton. On receipt of the intact returned goods, and within 30 days, Le Pont Wine Stores will refund to you the amount for the incorrect item/s, plus the return shipping costs.
