  • Think Nebbiolo simply = Barolo? Think again. Or do more than that - come to this Nebbiolo Masterclass and taste the many forms of this beguiling grape.

Few grape varieties inspire as much fascination as Nebbiolo. Admired for its perfume, structure and remarkable ability to age, it has earned a reputation as one of the world's great wine grapes. Yet despite its fame, Nebbiolo is often defined by just two names: Barolo and Barbaresco.

The reality is far more complex.

Nebbiolo is a grape that listens: It absorbs the soils beneath it, responds to altitude, reflects the climate around it and rewards patience like few other varieties can. The result is not one unmistakable wine but a myriad of fascinating expressions.

This class will take you from the sandy soils of Roero and the volcanic influences of Lessona to the dramatic alpine terraces of Valtellina and the rolling hills of the Langhe;  you'll discover how a single variety can reveal completely different personalities while remaining unmistakably Nebbiolo.

Guiding the evening is our very own Chiara, a proud and Piedmont native and Nebbiolo aficionado. You'll taste through a line-up that explores Nebbiolo from every angle, including an Aussie expression plus a look-in at the grape's ability to age.
