Prophet’s Rock is widely considered one of the most thoughtful voices to emerge from Central Otago, producing wines that combine depth of flavour with striking precision and balance. Working with carefully selected vineyard sites and a minimal-intervention approach in the cellar, the winery has built a reputation for Pinot Noir and aromatic whites that speak clearly of place while maintaining elegance and drinkability.
A key moment in the estate’s evolution came through its collaboration with François Millet, long-time winemaker at Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé in Burgundy, bringing an additional layer of refinement and structure to their Pinot Noir. The result is a style that feels both grounded in New Zealand’s dramatic landscapes and connected to a broader conversation about terroir-driven winemaking.
